Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services – Youth of Incarcerated Parents Program

HALT Violence
Provides mediation, violence intervention services, and mentorship. Develops healthy conflict resolution styles and productive work skills for youth and adults with a history of violent behavior or previous incarceration.

KidsMates
Offers educational resources, survival skills, and a booklist for children facing parental incarceration. Provides activities, tip sheets, and videos for caregivers and professionals to help explain incarceration to children.

Provides parent coaching services and parent education classes, focusing on healthy parenting to support the well-being of the whole family.

Columbus Urban League – Parent Enrichment Program
An eight-week program that requires parental involvement to help navigate at-risk youth away from the courtroom. Provides a safe environment for families to address underlying issues such as trauma.
Eligibility: At-risk youth and their parents involved in the juvenile justice system in Columbus, Ohio.
Nationwide Children's Hospital – Children of Incarcerated Parents Project
Provides resources and support to children facing social, behavioral, and health challenges due to parental incarceration. Offers guidance to health care providers and families to help these children cope.
Eligibility: Children in Central Ohio who have had a parent or guardian incarcerated.
